Music and Community

The Coachella Valley Guitar Society brings together guitarists, students, and listeners to share music and build connections. Jesus Palominos has served as founder, co-creator, and volunteer president since June 2026.

Our Mission

The mission of the Coachella Valley Guitar Society seeks to cultivate a thriving and inclusive classical guitar community by promoting music education, live performances, and cultural outreach. Our mission is to make the beauty of classical and related guitar music accessible to all, with a focus on diversity, collaboration, and lifelong learning. We believe that age, experience, or background should never be a barrier to participating in the joy of music. Through concerts, workshops, and educational programs, we welcome everyone to celebrate and share in the transformative power of guitar music.

Our Goals

Our goals include expanding access to classical guitar education, supporting opportunities to make music together, developing a youth guitar orchestra in the Coachella Valley, and eventually hosting an international classical guitar competition in our region. These are long-term projects that will grow with community participation and support.
